Directions for Completing L.O.T.S.S.
L.O.T.S.S. consists of the following: Lingometer, Modules 1-3, and a short quiz after each module.
Register for the L.O.T.S.S. tutorial by selecting First time students. You must put in your correct email address in order to receive your quiz results.
Test your knowledge of library jargon by taking Lingometer at the start of L.O.T.S.S. Your answers will not affect your final score. Note: You may wish to jot down unfamiliar terms and ideas as you go through Lingometer, as you will not be able to access it again after you complete it.
There are 3 modules. Each module interacts with a online periodical index/database. Read each module for comprehension. Each module takes about 30 minutes to complete.
There is a short quiz at the end of each module. The results will be sent to your email automatically. As an additional precaution, print out a copy of your quiz results for your records,especially if you are taking L.O.T.S.S. for credit..
