Designed to give incoming and advanced library school students an introduction to the databases Library Lit., ABI/Inform, and the Web of Science. The tutorial begins with a pre-quiz called “Library Lingometer,” which tests a student’s knowledge of basic library terminology. This is followed by three modules which teach a variety of search strategies while guiding students through interactive searches in the three databases listed above. Each module concludes with a short quiz. The tutorial ends with an online crossword puzzle. This entertaining exercise will test a student’s knowledge of library vocabulary and encourage them to continue to expand their repertoire of library jargon.
