Getting Help in the Library
The Reference Desk is located on the 2nd floor of King Library. Librarians are available there to help you with your research. Go to the Reference Desk with questions on using the library and for assistance with locating journal and magazine articles in print and online. Reference books are also located on the 2nd floor. We welcome your questions, so please ask for help when you need it.

Call the Library Reference Connection at (408) 808-2100 during library open hours for answers to brief factual reference questions and questions about library collections.


Live Online Reference
"Question Point" provides you with real-time web-based searching assistance while chatting online with a Reference Librarian. This service is designed to help you answer short, fact-based questions. Connect to this service at: Reference Help.


In-Depth Reference Consultations
Reference Department librarians are available for in-depth consultation in support of SJSU student and faculty projects and research. Librarians will advise on research methodologies, the identification of resources in print and electronic format, and the location of research tools and collections.
